The LA Times has an excellent op-ed piece on why Coal will be the around for decades to come.
Speaking of excellent op-ed pieces, Christopher Booker writes that the UK government will need to break their insane climate change act otherwise the UK will face financial oblivion. I trust Tony Abbott and Joe Hockey are taking note, as they will also need to dump our insane 20% RET.
Everyone knows that repealing Gillard’s Carbon Dioxide Tax is only 50% of the job needed to stop the cost of electricity from continuing to skyrocket.
To Abbott’s credit, he’s purposely avoided talking about the RET. My guess is when he becomes PM and Hockey becomes Treasurer, “they’ll discover” how insane the RET commitment really is and “in order” to get the Federal budget well and truly back into surplus they’ll can it.
